About Us
Our mission is to help amateur chamber music thrive in Alexandria and the surrounding DC metropolitan area. Our activities will include:
Maintaining a roster of players interested in forming ensembles.
Introducing players to each other.
Helping promote concerts organized by ensembles.
Encouraging young players to experience the joy and satisfaction of making chamber music with each other and with experienced musicians.
ACMS does not plan to manage a standing orchestra nor employ a music director. Instead, our primary role will be to help players meet and communicate to form their own ensembles.
